Two Mysteries with Different Spins
When we think of mysteries the stereotype is that it is filled with suspense or darkness but Asian formats always throw us for a loop. There a two new scripted formats, one following the stereotype and the other with a twist.

Let’s start with the good old-fashioned suspense mystery drama, “Longing for You”. First aired at the end of July, the main character, a detective, faces a hidden secret of his family as he pursues the culprit of a serial murder case. Things get interesting as a turn of events puts him on the same team as his friend and prosecutor with an unconventional view of justice, the twist is that in the middle of their investigation, the detective’s brother is accused of the serial murder that he was investigating.
Now let’s lighten things up with “My Lovely Liar” has two mysteries but both are about one person. The drama has an element of romance around a supernatural element….mindreading. The main character has the ability to read other people’s thoughts, but only their lies leaving her jaded about the world around her, making her lose faith in humanity. In the meantime, she meets a famous entertainment producer who becomes her neighbor. Now here is the double mystery, she could not telepathically hear his lies and also there is a secret he has been hiding.
